Our Planned Dachshund litters

I get many questions about planned Dachshund litters.  While this information is available on Gooddog, I thought it would be nice to include it on my webpage as well.  Please remember that these planned Dachshund litters are only PLANNED.  Not that they will necessarily happen.  Sometimes we decide to make a change for a myriad of reasons.  I will update with expected once a dog has been bred and confirmed once we have confirmed pregnancy.  Please remember that pregnancies are frequently unconfirmed until about day 40.

??? & Trixie

Trixie is overdue in heat.  At this time, I am still considering options on who I am breeding her too.  The dominant plan is that she will be bred to a past pup of mine- a smooth coat cream brindle brother to Beretta and a son to Kimber and Ammo.  My second choice is a long haired cream brindle male belonging to Simms Ashuelot Kennel.  With the smooth coat, I will get possible smooth coats and the entire litter will be cream.  With the long hair, I will have all long hair pups and the possibility of black and cream.  Regardless of male, the possibility of brindle will be there for all the cream pups.

Jack & Silly

Silly is expected to come in heat mid to end of July.  The plan is to breed her to Jack.  We expect long haired pups in black and cream and chocolate and cream with possible dapple.

Little Bill & Gwen

Gwen’s next heat is expected from the middle to end of August.  I have decided to pair her with Little Bill.  Expected pups would be long or smooth coat, black and cream or black and tan, possible pie and possible dapple.

Sauer & Maddie

Maddie is expected to come into heat at the end of September to early October.  I have decided to pair her with Sauer.  Expected pups would be all long haired ranging in color from black and tan, black and cream, cream sable, red sable and possible dapple and piebald in all colors.

Who will be the next future Dachshund parents of upcoming litters?  What color puppies can we be expecting?  Keep watching!
