SUR SWEET HEADING
A lot of changes have come to FleuryDachs over the years, and I am shocked to see how long it’s been since I did a blog entry!
FleuryDachs MOVED! We finally found the perfect home to purchase and moved two miles away. The new location is single level and provides us with no stairs for the dogs to have to maneuver ever! Even the dog door to the backyard has a ramp! This not only saves strain on backs but enables Ammo to truly live his best life.
Our program has said goodbye to and welcomed several dogs over the years. My pack is unrecognizable from even a year ago. We have placed puppies in homes from Alaska to New York! With the changes, I had added pages to my website that showcase upcoming breeders as well as updates on planned litters. These are pages that I try to keep updated as it really does help both me as well as interested parties.
My youngest daughter has clicker trained numerous litters of puppies for us and is now just a couple of years away from graduation. She has plans to go to the Air Force Academy if accepted or enlisting. She is heavily involved with Civil Air Patrol locally and that has definitely cut into her time helping with puppies. As a result, and preparing for the future, I am looking at downsizing slightly over the next couple of years. Of course, that’s hard to remember when confronted with a beautiful puppy!
I have updated and revamped my delivery room, puppy pens, and just about every aspect of my breeding program as I continue to learn and grow and find new and better ways. Of course, my aging has necessitated some of those changes. 😉 I’ve taken more jobs outside of the home and that has cut into things like realizing how many days have gone by without a blog entry. I am working at getting better at this too though!
